I rented it and it`s my favorite game. ![]() Use the rest of your rolling pins in the battle to free Splinter.ĭear Chip and Jonathan: I`ve been reading your column every week. When you get across and up the ladder (it`s very tough, but you`re getting close, so have patience) all you have to do is run through the next building, go to the roof. Let one of the other guys fight through the building, then let Donatello blast his way through the sewer, firing rolling pins and hopping from brick to brick. Drive south as far as you can, then east as far as you can, then north as far as you can, then west as far as you can. We suggest that you let Donatello get 60 or 80 rolling pins, then keep him out of action so he doesn`t accidentally pick up some stars or boomerangs. Load up on missiles (the first open building in Level 3) and what we call ''rolling pins'' (in the second open building). It took us ages to learn our way through the city streets and sewers, so don`t feel like the Lone Ranger. To get to the Turtle Blimp, you first have to rescue Splinter, and that`s tough. They`ll activate themselves in Level 4-all you have to do is have them. Kill the skeleton turtle, fly up and over to the right, and you`ll get that same surprise.-Joey Morgan, Inman, S.C.ĭear Joseph: You don`t really have to do anything to use the ropes. When you`re at World 1, Level 3, go to the white block, press down for a few seconds, go forward, and you`ll get a surprise. If you need some more tips, send for our Inside, Inside Tips book on Mario 3 at the address below.ĭear Chip and Jonathan: I`ve got an inside tip I`d like to share for Super Mario Bros. If you get the two whistles in World 1, just wait until you get to the beginning of World 2 to blow `em, and you`ll go straight to World 8. The third whistle is in World 3 (look for the white block), but you don`t really need it. If you do that, at the end of the level you`ll see a white toad house where you`d usually see a Hammer Brother. Dear Nancy: To get the anchor, you have to get every single power-up item-even all the coins and items hidden in blocks-in World 1, Level 4. ![]()
